LS 99 BALANCED TUBE PREAMPLIFIER
Presenting the new LS 99 fully balanced tube preamp, featuring compact form factor, tube rectification and external power supply.
June 19, 2023 – ModWright Instruments Inc., manufacturer of the award-winning KWA 150SE amplifier, PH 9.0/X/T tube phono stage and LS 300 Reference balanced tube preamp, is introducing their new LS 99 fully balanced tube preamp with external supply. Like the best-selling PH 9.0 tube phono stage, the form factor, aesthetic, and price-point, focus on a compact enclosure and engineering to offer exceptional performance at an attractive price point.
The LS 99 preamp is tube rectified (5AR4/GZ34 and equivalents) and uses 6922/7308/6dj8 driver tubes. The design is fully balanced in and out, with RCA and XLR inputs and outputs. It features (2) 12V trigger outputs to allow for whole system integration, specifically with the KWA 99 mono blocks. The LS 99 is based on the LS 300 Reference balanced preamp design, but in a smaller enclosure and not fully dual mono.
