This was a very good year!
As 2025 draws to a close, it is important to not just look ahead, but to also reflect on what made this a great year. While this was a very dynamic time, across the nation and the globe, we at ModWright staid the course and focused on the core of our mission statement and all that it represents: Elegance.Simplicity.Truth.
This reminded us why we do this and why we had one of our best years to date!
I heard it said several times this year: “ModWright is one of the best kept secrets in audio.” Thankfully, due to the hard work of our dealers, distributors, trade shows and an exceptional number of reviews, videos and testimonials, our products were heard and appreciated. I find that once customers hear ModWright products, they understand our strengths.
Throughout the year, we received feedback from customers all over the world. The common thread was the same:
- Emotional connection to music
- Long-term listening satisfaction
- A sense of calm, realism, and musical truth
Many customers talked about rediscovering their record collections. Others talked about longer listening sessions with a new sense of involvement with music. These are not measurements of technical specs. Rather, they are what really matters and what we design our gear for.
Some common listening impressions from online forums and conversations with our customers:
- The natural midrange and harmonic richness of our phono stages
- The control and musical authority of our amplifiers
- The lack of glare or artificial detail, even in highly resolving systems
These comments came from new and long-term owners of ModWright equipment.
Comparisons of our products to far more expensive alternatives were also common, such as Steve Huff comparing our LS 99 tube preamp and KWA 99 Mosfet monoblocks to renowned Nagra gear. A Magico speaker owner who purchased our LS 99 and KWA 99 monoblocks told me that our amps were the ‘Holy Grail of Amplifiers’ in his opinion, being detailed without sounding etched or harsh, and warm without lacking resolution or detail.
When I hear these things, I know that we have done our job right.
Our design topologies and fundamentals remain unchanged:
- Robust, overbuilt power supplies
- Well thought out and implemented circuit topology
- Low noise, low distortion, high resolution and tonal richness
- Designs that are timeless, in performance, reliability and aesthetic
Looking Ahead with Gratitude to 2026.
As I reflect on the past year, my focus and direction for 2026 become distilled. The loyalty, feedback and appreciation from our customers reinforces my commitment to greater things in 2026:
- Realization of the KWA 300 SS Reference Stereo and Monoblock power amps.
- Continued commitment and support of existing ModWright products.
- Realizing the future direction of new ModWright designs.
To every listener, reviewer, dealer, and forum contributor who shared their experience this year: thank you. You are the reason ModWright exists, and why we continue to produce exceptional audio equipment.
In a year fraught with uncertainty, ModWright continued to offer integrity, service and products, enabling our customers to find peace and escape. 2025 proved that staying true to our principles and design practices still matter:
